Commercial Vehicles. Four folders holding a significant collection of postcards, and half and full-plate photographs from the early 20th century to c1939. Divided into alphabetical order from A.E.C. to Wichita. The coachwork-styles and body-types are diverse, and include charabancs, lorries, war machines, bowsers, ambulances, flat beds, police wagons, army vehicles, panel vans, buses of various periods, fire engines, coach-built, and more. Some copy photographs, some from the Argent Archer photographic company, Bowers Library and other glass-plate negatives, some good amateur issues. Housed in matching folders, many images with both typed and manuscript captions verso. A delight. (4)
