A Sevres painted porcelain saucer, mid 18th century. Finely painted by Francois-Joseph Aloncle (1758 - 81) with typical colour palette and attention to detail. The centre depicting an exotic bird in a rural setting enclosed within a gilt decorated blue ground border. Blue interlaced 'L's mark with date letter ‘L’ dating to 1764 and painter's mark ’N’. 5.2 in (13.2 cm) diameter. Condition report: Some surface wear with age. The rim with minor restoration and gilding reapplied as shown in the photos provided. Drill test to inside of foot.
