Belfast born, Gibson spent his early working life at the Belfast Telegraph as a graphic designer. He committed himself to painting at the age of 26, developing a dynamic realist style that suited his oft chosen subject matter of urban and sporting scenes. His works are held in a number of public and private collections world wide.
