An Italian violin, 2nd half 19th century, with medium colour to the two-piece back sides and neck, remnants of paper label to interior but illegible, golden varnish, grubby to the front length of back 35.5cm
Wear and grubbiness to the varnish in many areas, the two-piece back is still has an open split running 3/4 of the length of the back, where to the corners of the bouts, sound post still in position.
