S.S. "LORD OF THE ISLES" - EARLY OVAL CACHET ON 1d RED COVER - 16 Aug. 1879 env. (some creasing) to Edinburgh with a light but readily legible strike of the red oval "POSTED ON BOARD/LORD OF THE ISLES/STEAMER" cachet at top left of address, franked by 1d Red tied by a fine Greenock duplex, PAISLEY c.d.s. on the back.
