TAXIDERMY - CASED SNOWY OWL (BUBO SCANDIACUS), G WHITE OF SALISBURY. A wonderful full mounted Snowy Owl, mounted on a simulated rocky outcrop and with a painted backdrop. With a label inside for 'G White, Naturalists, 114 Fisherton St, Salisbury', and in a glazed and wooden case. Case 72cms high
*G White of Salisbury began operating in the 1880's, and this is probably late 19thc in date.

One side panel is missing it's glass, some staining to the backdrop (mostly around the edges), small crack to the top of the case which can also be seen inside.
