Whiston M.A.', (printed area approx. 69 x 62cm), plus 18 double page and 13 single page maps, all hand coloured in outline, double page maps comprising World; Europe; Asia; Africa; South America; Ireland; Spanish Provinces; VII United Provinces; France; Spain & Portugal; Italy; Germany; Denmark; Sweden; Poland; Moscovy; Hungary; Turkey in Europe, single page maps comprising Flanders; Hainault etc; Artois; Paris Provostship...; Castile; Turkey/Arabia/Persia; Ancient Italy; Mediarum; Theatrum Historicum I; Theatrum Historicum II; Africa; Grecae I; Grecae II, some maps dated 1708-1725, others undated but many c.1728 or later (in 1728 Senex was elected into the Fellowship of the Royal Society of London, a rarity for mapmakers, several maps with "F.R.S." printed suffix following Senex's name), double page map of the World plate size approx. 60 x 110cm, dedicated to the Right Honourable Richard Boyle and others, other double page maps plate size mainly approx. 66 x 97cm, single page maps plate size mainly approx. 50 x 62cm, the odd small marginal repair verso, some with light foxing, folio (70 x 54cm), contemporary half calf very worn.
