A large and impressive handsome French marble and slate antique mantle clock with matching garniture circa 1880's, made of slate with marble detail having a neoclassical design featuring a 2 cylinder mercury filled pendulum, the clock features a large bevelled glass viewing window for the pendulum, the front having a thick glass bevelled viewing window for the dial, the dial has an enamel chapter ring with a visible escapement, has recently been cleaned and serviced and is in full working condition, having no major chips or nibbles to the case, the garniture has chips to the underside of the dish tops and a couple of other chips, see photos. The clock stands at an impressive 46.5cm in height, has a length of 39cm and a depth of 16cm. The garniture has a height of 28cm, a length of 17cm and a depth of 11cm.
