A Charles II oak settle, Cheshire/Lancashire, circa 1670
The rectangular back of four fielded panels, below a scrolling vine leaf carved cresting rail centred by a crown, pyramidal finials to the back uprights, and short baluster-turned front supports to the downswept open arms, rope seat, on block and baluster-turned legs joined by a conforming carved cresting rail stretcher, height 109cm, Width 185cm, depth 66cm.
