Victorian 4th VB King’s Liverpool Regiment Officer’s Volunteer Decoration.
This example has been privately engraved “MAJOR J.W. DE SILVA 12TH DEC 1893”. Bearing silver hallmarks for London 1893. Complete with ribbon and original pin suspension as worn.
He was promoted to Lt Colonel in 1894 and by 1900 he was commanding the 4th Volunteer Battalion. He resigned his commission in 1904.
