A worksplate, NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE Co, HYDE PARK WORKS, 24774, 1942, from a LMS Stanier Class 8F 2-8-0 No 8196 built in May 1942, becoming BR 48196. It spent most of its working life at Toton before finishing its days at Westhouses from where it was withdrawn in October 1966 and cut up by Drapers at Hull. Cast brass, 7¾" diameter, the front cleaned but unpainted. (Postage Band: B)
