Revolver, a composite open frame revolver built on the frame of a First Model Webley Longspur. The frame engraved with a banner "James Webley over Patentee" surrounded by acanthus scrolling. Six shot cylinder numbered from 1 to 6 (in the order they should be fired) however the cylinder rotates anti-clockwise, firing No1-No6-No5 etc, rather than No1-No2-No3 etc. Frame extended beyond front of cylinder to accommodate barrel assembly. Barrel octagonal, approx 6" with unmarked kerr type rammer. The rammer does not engage with the cylinder chambers bore. Cylinder chambers .41 calibre, barrel .45 calibre. Housed in a wooden box with flask, joyce cap tin, oil bottle, nipple wrench and cleaning rod. Box lockable but key missing, box not original to revolver. In GWO and condition. No Licence required.
