Resident of East Ham. Originally enlisted into the Supplementary Reserve in 1909. Attested into the Royal Field Artillery on 12th October 1909 and discharged on 5th May 1921. Served in India from 1911 until 1918 and Mesopotamia from 1918 to 1919.
