Dozens of old theatre and stage programmes and related ephemera both loose in in albums – many devoted to Peter Pan and his creator JM Barrie. Some old rarities too. There’s an 1873 Theatre Royal Drury Lane programme for Antony and Cleopatra, which has some minor tears, faults and the date written in pen on the front. Also some postcards and photographs of stars of the day involved in Pan and other productions. A number of programmes are 21st century but other examples (see photos) include an 1895 programme of the Garrick Theatre production of ‘The Professor’s Love Story’ by Barrie a 1903 Duke of York Theatre ‘The Admirable Crichton, other Edwardian and 20th century Georgian Barrie productions as well as the Comedy Theatre’s 1924 ‘Alice sitting By The Fire.’ One album has London theatre programmes with examples from the `1902s, 30s, 40s and 50s featuring Flanagan and Allen and Marcel Marceau. There are programmes from Richard Flanagan’s Grand Shakespearian Revival from 1907-11. The photos/postcards include Judy Garland, Elizabeth Taylor, Spencer Tracey, Tony Curtis, Dorothy Lamour and William Holden, are in mixed condition.
