A George V silver mounted cut glass claret jug by John Grinsell & Sons, Birmingham 1911, of baluster form with hobnail decoration and star cut base, with plain polished mount with hinged cover and angular handle, 19.5cm high

Overall condition is good. There are some chips and small fractures to the hobnail decoration high points, and around the edge of the base, but no cracking. General scratching wear and tear concentrated at the base. Small area of possible solder repair to the handle. No splits, denting or any other notable damage. General scratching and wear to the silver only. Hinged lid opening smoothly and closing flush. Hallmarks are clear.
