A WWII period British Paratroopers HSAT (Helmet Steel Airborne Troops) Mk.II Steel Helmet: fourth pattern, with camouflage netting and webbing over the outer shell, original tan leather lining stamped 'BMB' (Briggs Motor Bodies, Dagenham) and dated '1943' , size 7 6/8, three point chin strap mounts with leather cupped canvas chin strap. Note- Developed during the Second World War for use by British paratroopers and air landing units the fourth pattern Mk.II helmets remained in use after the war, leaving service around the time of the Falklands War. Briggs Motor Bodies, Dagenham produced shells and liners for the steel helmets during WWII. The company was acquired by Ford in 1953
