Star Lot : A striking vintage original oil on canvas painting by the artist Fred J. Aarvik (b. 1918 - d. 1974) dating to 1958. Features a highly saturated and abstracted landscape scene rendered in highly gestural and dynamic brushstrokes creating an energetic and lively scene. The use of bright colours and contrasting tones enhances this visually stimulating piece. Signed bottom right and housed in a white frame. Aarvik was a well known Norwegian landscape painter favouriting landscape scenes of his home country. Would look lovely framed. Featuring an inscription to verso outlining title, original price and artist's signature.
