A table top 15 1/2" disc Polyphon music box, late 19th/early 20th century, the walnut and figured walnut case with ring turned pillars to the corners, above a flared apron applied with blind fretwork foliate detail, upon bracket feet, the underside of the hinged cover inset with a glazed monochrome print depicting putti playing instruments and making merry, the gilt metal plaque to the interior cast in relief with the text 'Polyphon' and the serial number 33586, cabinet measures 44cm H x 58cm W x 53cm D, along with a collection of 33 discs

Joint split to the top of the cabinet along with minor scuffs, marks, scratches and stains. Some minor splits to the veneer on the winder side of the cabinet, evidence of restoration and historic woodworm to the rear plinth ( please see additional images).
Mechanism works and plays a disc when operated however this cannot be taken as a guarantee of working condition
Discs are 40cm / 15 1/2", mechanism continues to play until unwound
