AN VERY FINE IRISH GEORGE III SILVER SUGAR BASIN, decorated to the exterior with raised repoussé work depicting boughs of floral blossoms and scrolling foliate details, a crest design is scene to one side; showing an armoured arm holding a spear. The bowl is raised on tripod leg with shell detail to the knees and a pad foot, and the edge is finished with further floral details. Maker’s mark of MW for Matthew West to the underside along with Irish hallmarks. Dimensions: 14.2 x 8.5cm (W x H), weight: 198grams.
