£1,500 - £2,500
A FINE SET OF THREE GEORGE III SILVER CONDIMENT VASES
by John Wakelin & William Taylor, London 1769, each vase raised on a circular foot with a gadrooned border, the body partially fluted below ribbon-tied swags, each shoulder with a pair of handles with mask junctions, the covers similarly decorated and with bud finials, each engraved with a crest. (3) Tallest 18.5cm, 38.4 troy ounces gross
The marks are a little rubbed and compressed but legible. The lid of the large vase is a slightly awkward fit. The handles of one of the small vases both have cracks, but this appears to be in the seam. Each stands well and doesn't wobble.
