Eric HILLER (c.1892-1964) Autumn Tree Watercolour, signed, 49 x 63cm. Co-director, with Charles BREAKER, and working with Marjorie MORT, he ran the Holiday Sketching Group for many years based at their home at Gernick Field Studio, Newlyn. Their prospectus was printed by friend Guido MORRIS. Their contribution to the life of the art community was great, and they were at the centre of a large and active social scene, organising and taking part in festivals, balls, and fancy dress parades. Hiller and Breaker were popular and well-liked by all. (Cornish Artist Index)
