American Waltham silver lever pocket watch, circa 1897, serial no. 8196952, signed movement with safety pinion, compensated balance and regulator, hinged cuvette, the dial with Roman numerals, minute track and subsidiary seconds, blued steel hands, within an engine turned case with engraved cartouche, hallmarks Birmingham 1898, case maker 'A.B' (Waltham Watch Co.), 55mm
Movement - currently functioning.
Dial - faint hairlines and chip at the centre hole.
Glass - surface marks and scratches.
Hands - tarnishing present.
Case - mild rubbing to the engine turning, surface marks, small bruise mark tot he edge of the case back, mild tarnishing, replacement bow.
