(EKD); Attractive 16 Mar. 1870 E registered from Malta to Livorno with GB 1/- Green (pl.4; wing margin) and 1d Reds Pair (pl.111) all tied by very fine small "A25" Numerals with a very fine red "REGISTERED/MALTA" cds (REG-2; issued 11 Feb. 1870 from London) - the earliest date recorded by the MSC or Proud - alongside, together with a very fine "DOPO LA/PARTENZA" mark (Too Late; Syracuse or Naples?). A very visual cover and important for the earliest known use of the Malta Registered mark. Exhibition Quality.
