1914 Star with copy date bar to KX.383 G.E. Church Ord Sea RNVR Hood Bttn R.N.D. good very fine. George Edward Hood was presumed killed in action in Gallipoli on 4th June 1915 and is commemorated on the Helles Memorial. With 3 copied pages of service record and CWGC, joined Hood Bn 9/9/14, records state 2 members of Bn saw him taken POW, but Turkish authorities had no knowledge of him, from Stockton-on-Tees. (R)
