Somaliland. 1903 (Feb 22) Long cover from Lt. A.E Silvertop R.N, leader of the Marconi Detachment, to his wife in London, posted at Berbera unusually franked by a G.B KEVII 1d stamp which has been ringed as invalid, handstamped "T", boxed "POSTAGE DUE / ANNAS" and "TOO LATE", backstamps of "BERBERA" and Aden. The 1d stamp cancelled upon arrival in London (Mar. 6), the cover delivered without charge. Very unusual.
