DUBLIN - THE RARE PRESTAMP "REGISTER'D" DATESTAMP ON FERMOY BARRACKS COVER TO SCOTLAND; 19 Feb. 1829 EL (some weak folds) from "Fermoy Barracks" (fair "FERMOY/112" mileage on the front) to Stirling charged "2/10" (double rate) with a very fine rare red Dublin "REGISTER'D" transit cds (20 Feb.) nicely placed on the front with matching partly fine crinkle-framed Dublin "MIDDAY MAIL" d.s. on the flap, also with a fine "STIRLING/PENNY POST" (but oddly with no Addl/½ mark) on the front; there is no mention of the enclosure of value - the letter concerns fixing prices to keep the writer in business!
