WITH "TRANSPORT OFFICE/[Crown]/G.R/PRISONERS OF WAR"; 8 Feb. 1810 EL (sealed with wafer; from the addressee's sister with family news and letters failing to arrive) from "Volore Ville" (near Lyon) to "M. Guerin, Lieutenant au 100e Regiment d'Infantrie de Ligne, Prisonnier de Guerre a Odiham" charged "6[d]" (inland rate from London) with a partly fine double-oval London "TRANSPORT OFFICE/[Crown]/G.R/PRISONERS OF WAR" nicely placed on the front.
