HERMES PATENT POISON BOTTLE. (DP p33). 4.6ins tall. An extraordinary cobalt blue, so far only recorded complete example, of the hexagonal 1887 patented design. Three sides with vertical ribs, dummy neck (no opening) having 2 distinct raised dots. Indented base has the actual bottle opening, sealed with a cork. A damaged amber example was sold some 30 years ago by John Ault - in the hope of finding a mint example. No others have ever been found. A truly significant offering. Exc/ A1. NR.
