1855 (July 30) Double rate entire letter from Santiago to Valparaiso bearing two examples of the 5c burnt sienna recess printed by H.C Gillet from Perkins Bacon plates (S.G. 10), both with four good margins, tied by barred circle obliterators, a red Santiago c.d.s on the front. Horizontal fold clear of the stamps, otherwise fine and a scarce double franking of this uncommon stamp. S.G. £425 for a single franking on cover. Photo on Page 118.
