An album of cigarette cards of approximately 840 cards, which includes a full set of 50 Kensitas 'Builders of Empire' series, from Florence Nightingale to Rudyard Kipling; all 50 of WA & AC Churchman's 'Well Known Ties' 2nd series (schools, colleges and sports clubs); Wills's Cigarettes 'Radio Celebrities' complete 1st and 2nd series; Player's Cigarettes 'Film Stars' 3rd series (missing No 41 but with other film cards from other series); a full set of 36 real photograph cards from J. Millhoff's 'In The Public Eye' series; a set of all 54 of the Godfrey Phillips 'In The Public Eye' series; all 50 of the horse racing Godfrey Phillips 'Turn Over & Spot The Winner' series; the 50 'Kings of Speed' series from Churchill; the WD &HO Wills 50-strong 'Speed' series; and other sets and cards relating to the RAF, flying, football trophies and cricket - old and modern. Most cards in good condition, but some have faults. There's also a Rodney paper cigarette card album with approximately 200 cards in very mixed condition, including royalty and military uniforms.
This lot also includes low-value three photograph albums - one with a close-up newspaper original photograph of Queen Elizabeth 11 in a barge, presumed to be in Portsmouth Harbour; another which includes photos and postcards, mostly moderns relating to the Dockyard, Southampton Docks, liners, HMS Victory and the Royal Yacht; and the third album has mainly modern shipping postcards.
There's also a selection of 50 standard size royalty postcards (see photo), mainly of British royals, but a few foreign ones too; plus a bag of large modern British Royalty postcards; and a selection of 14 standard-size Butlins holiday camp cards from the 1970s and possibly early 80s.
There are also four bags containing approximately 550-650 mainly modern cards - with some older ones, and a Pamlins reprint of the Titanic. The modern cards are on various themes, including Portsmouth and Southsea, UK and Ireland views and European views.
