See also W. T. Vincent, Record of the Woolwich District (1890), where it is noted a small meeting house, built in Hog Lane, Woolwich, opened 10 October 1756. The meeting house was soon found to be of insufficient size and in 1761 a new chapel was built on a site now occupied by Enon Chapel, High Street, Woolwich
