A large pair of early 20th century Japanese satsuma-style pottery vases. Each with overhanging gilded lip above slightly waisted neck with two chilong dragon-style handles. The main ovoid bodies decorated with warriors to the front and chrysanthemums to the back. Each raised on spreading circular foot with alternating lappets decorated in enamels in relief. Painted marks to their undersides. (46.5 cm high) (Some damage.)
