A large original watercolour on paper painting by the artist A Camilleri dating to 1991. Features a European harbour scene with row boats moored on the docks. Loosely rendered in dynamic brushstrokes adding to the sense of movement in the scene. An unusual composition with tree to centre slightly obscuring the view, as a sleepy cat curls up in the sun to the right hand side. Signed and dated bottom right, and housed in a high quality solid wood frame.
MM: 83 x 65 cm in frame.
Artist Antoine Paul Camilleri is a well regarded Maltese artist. Son of Antoine Camilleri (1922-2005) whose works helped define the Maltese Contemporary art scene in the 20th century.
