Of great Anthropological interest, a group of four items from the last Fijian cannibals, THE CANNIBALS WITH
FORKS:
1. A four-prong wooden ceremonial cannibalistic fork (length: 27 cm).
2. A photoprint of a Fijian cannibal with such a fork on a cast iron frame (25 x 28 cm).
3. An Original illustration from the “Graphic” titled: “Abolition of Cannibalism in Fiji” dated 17th July 1875 (41 x 29 cm).
4. A book: “From Fiji to the Cannibal Islands” by Beatrice Ethel Grimshaw, Eveleigh Nash, London, 1907
(hardback reprint), proving that cannibalism was still present in the Fijian islands until the first quarter of the
20th Century!
