A small Pratt ware 'Admiral Nelson' jug, circa 1800: scroll handle with blue glaze husks, the body with a full length portrait of the admiral standing in front of naval trophies in blue uniform and black hat trimmed with yellow, framed by a green and ochre laurel wreath and flanked by ships of the line with pennants flying, the pattern repeated to the opposite side, the top of the jug with a narrow brown band with border draped in tasselled cloth the swags with resting doves, the foot with a band of florets and fern sprigs, 16cm high. *Notes- See page 157 Lewis, J & G ' Pratt Ware' 1993.
