A group of Japanese Imari & Kutani chargers, Meiji period, comprising a large charger, painted with panels of mandarin ducks and cranes in naturalistic landscapes, 40cm dia, an Aoki petal shaped charger, the centre painted with a blue phoenix bordered by eighteen panels painted with phoenix, dragon, cell and foliage, Aoki mark to underside, 30.7cm dia, a Yamatoku charger, painted with a scroll depicting a bijin and landscape, impressed seal mark, 36.5cm dia, a Kutani charger painted with panels of landscapes and blossoming flowers, 34.5cm dia, a large blue & white dished plate, 28cm, and an Imari bowl, 21cm dia (Qty: 6)

More Information

The largest charger has gilt rubbing but otherwise in good condition. Aoki charger with very small glaze chip to rim. Yamatoku charger with rim chip, from which issues a rim to foot rim crack. Kutani charger with large crack. The Imari bowl with large crack.
