Kangar. 1947 (July 1) Cover to Prai franked BMA 8c cancelled by the Kangar Japanese Occupation type datestamp (Proud D8) in purple, the date in manuscript, the reverse endorsed "Received at 12 pm Empty cover with flap open, P.M Prai 16/7/47" with a Prai (July 16) c.d.s alongside, minor tone spots and horizontal fold near base. An unusually clear strike of this c.d.s, the latest recorded date of use, rare on a commercial cover. Photo on Page 176.
