Illustrated with A Hundred Copper Plates, third edition, one of 150 copies, London: Printed for William Pater-noster Row, 1749, complete thus: [iv]ff & 100 hand-coloured copperplate engravings with corresponding letterpress leaves, as often lacking Derham's 26-page index and notes to rear, which is not called for by ESTC, slight off-setting in places, but minimal, as well as the expected odd foxed spot, yet never affecting the overall display of the plates and their colouring, a few margins dust-soiled, fewer with an occasional stain, in both cases rarely or never within the plate mark, later, probably 19th c, marginal pencil annotation in places, split, contemporary quarter-calf over marbled papered boards, chipped and worn, perished spine, ffep with 20th c ink MS presentation inscription, uncut, 4to (30.5 x 24.5cm), [ESTC T85943; Freeman 45; Lisney 123; Nissen ZBI 58]
