A Peruvian embossed plated brass ladies stirrup, 18th/19th century. Of slipper form, decorated with flowers, scrolling foliage and inset with faceted ruby coloured glass stone. These stirrups were typically made singularly and not as a pair due to the women riding side-saddle. 22.3 cm length, 10.8 cm width.
