EARLY COVER MISCELLANY, 1817-1934: Diverse range inc. 1817 EL to Lyon with s/l "GENOVA" mark, 1824 legal letter, 1849 wrapper to Trieste with 2-line Fiume date cancel, 1843 'Huth' letter from Venice to London, 1852 stampless letter from Turin to Lyon with ms charges, c.1860 local Naples wrapper franked with 2 grana rose adhesive with boxed "ANNULATO" cancel, Sep. 1863 env. from Florence to Paris with 40c red franking, 1905 env. with contents (roughly opened) from Riccione to Cape Town having 5 x 5c green franking on reverse, etc. Two later covers of interest are 28 Jun. 1917 Palermo to Naples Air Mail cover bearing the special 25c on 40c violet Air Stamp (issued 27 Jun.) and 1934 Air Mail from San Remo to Cape Town with 2l.50 Express stamp and boxed "EXPRESS FEE PAID".
