Coins: An 18ct gold coin, 'The Welsh Medallion', one of a limited edition of 3,000 produced in Welsh gold by the Royal Mint in 1989, this one numbered 0078. The coin is marked '¼ oz', so the same as a sovereign, but is 18ct rather than 22ct. The gold comes from the last surviving mine in Wales at Gwynfynydd, though it closed shortly after the coins were produced. Comes encapsulated with original hard case, outer sleeve, associated paperwork and purchase receipt.
