A FINELY CRAFTED VICTORIAN FOLDING STEREOSCOPIC VIEWER, in the style of Negretti & Zambra. Decorated with pierced scrolling open fretwork to the photo holder & supports beneath. The underside houses the large magnifying glass panel which can be adjusted. A very finely crafted piece: A Stereoscopic viewer was used to view a stereograph card – which held two images; one for the left eye, one for the right eye. When viewed through the viewer the image comes together to create a 3D style viewing. 59 x 30 x 14cm W x D x H – when collapsed.
