A fine Indian sword tulwar from Rajasthan. Made for a child, late 19th century, curved slender SE blade 48.5cms chiselled at the forte with a panel of arabesques, iron hilt with parrot’s head pommel entirely covered with gold damascene including flowering foliage and chevrons inside the knuckle bow, parrot’s head with inlaid ruby (?) eyes set in kundun, in its red fabric covered scabbard with gold tape and wire seam, gold locket chased with flowering foliage, gold chape pierced with foliage. GC £500-1000
