9311 - Original oil painting on canvas by the late distinguished London artist Baron Michael D'Aguilar (1924-2011) Titled "Le Picnic en Pleine Aire". Signed and titled on the reverse. Framed in an expensive hand made frame. The artist studied at The Royal Academy Schools from 1949 - 1954 winning a variety of awards, including the Leverhulme Scholarship. He was a winner of the Royal Drawing Society’s Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals and the Armitage and Silver Medal at the Royal Academy. He had successful one-man shows at the Temple Gallery in 1961, New Grafton Gallery in 1971, Southwell Brown Gallery in 1974, Bruton Street Gallery in 1995 and was represented in Bradford City Art Gallery. Exhibited at: The Royal Academy, Paris Salon, Royal Society of British Artists, New English Artist Contemporaries, Leicester Galleries, Royal institute of Oil Painters, Irving Galleries, National Society of Painters, New English Art Club, Young Contemporaries, He has had exhibitions in Spain, Italy, Ireland, France and America..
