French school, mid 20th century,
‘Woodsmen with ox and cart at Dusk’,
oil on board, indistinctly signed to verso, 90cm x 101cm.
This appears to be a painting on paper laid onto board, which might explain the ‘dry’ appearance you mention. There is a tiny chip to the paint bottom left. And another short, deepish scratch in this area, about 3cm in length, see additional photos.
Otherwise good condition.
