WHITE STAR LINE: Rare original photograph of Titanic officers Charles Herbert Lightoller and Joseph Groves Boxhall, seen together on the Oceanic on America's birthday, the Fourth of July, 1909. An extraordinary artefact showing the two most senior Titanic survivors and key witnesses together, along with inscribed caption supplying names. This image was taken in New York and is from the renowned Bell Album, showing the officers in summer whites. Between Lightoller, left, and Boxhall, middle, stands well-known purser Claude Lancaster. Assistant purser J.H.M. Smith and Chief Officer William Cookson stand to right. Captain of the Oceanic at this time was Herbert Haddock, Titanic's first Master. On the reverse of this page is another original image, that of Frederick Brown, Oceanic fourth officer. Sold with exclusive copyright.
