A SECOND WORLD WAR LUFTWAFFE OXYGEN BOTTLE FROM A HEINKEL III. A Luftwaffe Oxygen bottle with various stamped marks and numbered 'SAUERSTOFF LEER 2.16 KG FULL 150 AT 2.4.1.40 Luftwaffe 30500-3'. With a number of paper labels including a Humberside Aircraft Preservation Society label Heinkel HE 11-4'. This bottle was recovered from the crash site of the above German Bomber which crashed near Pelham School on the 23rd March 1914. The Aircraft had been hit by A.A. fire before colliding with a barrage balloon near Immingham, Lincolnshire.' With a list of the crew. A further label suggests two of the crew survived. 42cm long. *CR: marks and scratches to surface. *BP 22.5% (18.75% plus VAT) plus a lot fee of £8 inc. VAT on each lot.
