A RARE ARABIC MANUSCRIPT: THE BEGINNING OF THE SCIENCE OF OBLIGATIONS AND ISSUES (18TH-19TH CENTURY)

This unique and exquisite Arabic manuscript, The Beginning of the Science of Obligations and Issues, originates from the 18th to 19th century. It is a fine example of Islamic legal scholarship, covering intricate discussions on obligations and jurisprudential matters. Written in beautiful Arabic calligraphy, the text is framed by marginal notes and annotations in various hands, suggesting its use as a teaching or study text by scholars of the time.

This hand-bound volume is adorned with intricate ornamentation, especially visible in the opening pages, featuring decorative designs in vibrant gold and blue hues, typical of classical Islamic manuscript illumination.
