More Information

John Probin was operating at this address between 1826 and 1841.
The cock has had a repair at the heel. There is a slither of stock loss adjacent to the back of the cockplate. The ram bar is original. There are some minor knocks to the barrel consistent with age.
There are knocks and scrapes to the stock, again consistent with use and age.
The cock works, the safety works.
In terms of replacements it appears to be one brass screw retaining the cock and a screw on the reverse retaining the barrel.
