A George III mahogany longcase clock with a later associated eight-day movement striking on a bell, the hood with twin scroll pediment and reeded pillars enclosing a 13 inch brass broken arch dial with moonphase, date aperture, subsidiary seconds dial and silvered chapter ring signed 'Burgess, Liverpool', raised to bracket feet, height 227cm, S/D.
The dial and movement appear to have been married to the case. Replacement seat board. Two weights and pendulum are present. The trunk door has been re-hung.
